What it is
Acid therapy, also known as a chemical peel, is a cosmetic treatment in which an acid solution is applied to the skin. The acid helps loosen the bonds between old skin cells so the top layer can renew itself. Depending on the acid and its strength, you will feel a tingling sensation, and your skin may flake a little afterwards.
We work with [TODO: e.g. AHA, BHA or PHA — which ones you use] and build up the intensity gradually. On your first visit we always begin with a consultation and skin analysis. Because your skin is more sensitive to the sun after a peel, a high daily sun protection (SPF) is an essential part of the treatment.

Frequently asked questions
Which acids do you use?
We work with [TODO: e.g. AHA, BHA or PHA — which ones you use]. Which acid and strength we choose depends on your skin and what we discuss during your consultation.
Will my skin peel?
That depends on the type of peel and your skin. With a mild peel you often see very little; with a stronger peel the skin may flake for a few days.
Why is sun protection so important?
After a chemical peel your skin is temporarily more sensitive to sunlight. Using a high SPF every day helps protect your skin and supports the result.
